Grapefruit Bowls! #HealthySnacks

With fall approaching and fruits & berries being ripe, the trees & bushes will soon be ready to take a ‘break’ till next season! I have an idea for you! My siblings and  I threw a surprised birthday party for my mama this past June. The girls in my family were in charge of the food for the party! I had this idea of making fruit bowls using grapefruits & others fruits/berries. Thank goodness my husband snapped some pictures of them! I sliced the grapefruits in half and carved the flesh out which were used to make homemade grapefruit juice. I chopped up various fruits and added some berries as well. I used apples, pears, bananas, apricots, blueberries, strawberries, kiwis, mangos, and grapes. After you chop them up, just add them to the grapefruit bowls! Our guests loved topping it with organic vanilla ‘whole milk’ yogurt! May be a little high on the sugar/fructose side, but hey, it was my mama’s birthday! 🙂
